Over the past few weeks, I have put out several videos on how targeting musky in the heat of the summer is dangerous for the health of our fisheries. In this follow up to those videos I discuss how to safely handle fish if you do catch them in high heat. I will discuss how to release the fish without ever taking it out of the water. I will also discuss how to get an accurate measurement and take a photo without adding more undue stress on the fish.
These techniques will keep fish off bump boards and in the water.
