Open water can look overwhelming to many anglers. However, Big Muskies spend a lot of time suspended in open water. Learning a few tricks to find suspended fish can add an entirely new dynamic to your fishing
Open water is a great area to target when you are not seeing any action on the structure. Too often I find that when the structure is not producing the suspended fish are actively feeding. If you are not targeting the entire lake you are going to miss out on some of the best fishing.
While it may look like we are out aimlessly floating around there is actually a lot of thought that goes into when and how I fish open water. In this video, I will break some of those decisions down and hopefully help you find your next suspended musky.
