Last week I put out a video discussing the danger that high water temps pose to our fisheries. Over the years, I have seen and heard of countless big muskies dying after being caught in warm water. These observations have changed the tactics I use to target mid-summer muskies. It has also made me realize that there are times when it is not safe to target big toothy critters at all. In this follow-up, I will discuss a few does and don’ts of mid-summer fishing. If everyone uses some common sense and follow a few simple guidelines we can preserve the fish that we all love to chase.
